Bespoke Tartan
Bespoke Tartan’s ideology explores sustainability issues towards cloth. Research into 'emotionally durable design' has influenced the design process in creating personalised fabric, expanding their meanings and relating them to a specific consumer.
Research into traditional woven cloth, from Scottish tartans and their symbolism of clans and family heritage, along with the Indonesian patterning technique of Ikat, which is used to symbolise identity and status of the wearer, has influenced the design process.
Holly has recently partnered with fellow Chelsea alumni Lisa Walker to develop a design concept called Check Me Out, which was Runner Up in the 2011 TFRC/VF Future Fashion Textiles Competition.
